This is a 6×17 DSLR Scanning Table (it needs a better name) used to make it easier to scan 6×17 negatives, typically by using a DSLR or other digital camera and a macro lens. It is in two parts – the base, which is meant to suspend the negative up above the light table by a bit; and the top which sits on top and helps to keep the negative a bit more flat. This is done by way of hidden magnets on the top and base to help press the film together.
I originally designed this by request and thought I would offer up the design here for folks that have a similar need. Of note, this is for 6×17 but other sizes can be made. If you would like another size, just let me know!
This is designed by
me and are printed on demand using Atomic PLA using my Prusa MK3s
3D printers. It should bring you years of reliable use when using it for its intended purpose and storing it appropriately (namely don’t store it in super hot spaces, like an attic).
Note: Negatives are shown for illustrative purposes only – they are not included.
